Fishbone rose in 1979 and blurred the lines of musical genres with a fusion of ska, reggae, rock and soul that carried lyrics of racial stereotypes in and outside of the music industry.
The lense of filmmakers Lev Anderson and Chris Metzler visits the musical rise and mayhem of the South Central L.A. band in “Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone", which is currently screening in various film festivals and will in theatres across Los Angeles.
“Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone" features interviews with Flea, Gwen Stefani, Ice-T, Perry Farrell, Branford Marsalis, George Clinton, Tim Robbins, Gogol Bordello, ?uestlove, and others.
