Skank To This: L.A. Skawars Photo Recap

On Saturday, January 28, the ska Gods smiled down on their devotees. Their happiness was due to the hundreds of “skateros” that gathered for the 4th annual Los Angeles Skawars event presented by EvoeKore Media at the WLCAC Outdoors venue in South Central Los Angeles.

Twenty-eight of the best ska, punk, skacore and hardcore bands made the event possible including Ekolekua, Paranoias, Profesor Galactico, Roncovacoco, Cannabsicuits, Los Rudos, Matamoska, and Ska veterans from New York, The Toasters, amongst others.

Towards the end of the show, 8Kalacas made the crowd go into a frenzy with their hardcore style, and The Delirians' groovy reggae put the energy on simmer before saying “lates!” to the fans at bay. Overall, ska lovers walked out tired but happily anticipating the next edition of the L.A. Skawars.
