In anticipation of their debut album “La Sopa”, which is scheduled for release this spring, Bay Area’s Bang Data releases the music video for the album’s first single.
The song is titled “Bang Data” and is one of the tracks that made it on the Latin Alternativos 2009 EP titled “Maldito Carnaval”, a 7-song project that was recorded by their drummer, Juan Manuel Caipo, in an Oakland studio. The EP also consisted of collaborations with Karl Perrazzo (Santana), Steve Bradley (No Doubt), Mario Silva (Pellejo Seco) and DJ Amplive (Zion I). The song “Bang Data” has already been featured on Emmy Award winning television drama Breaking Bad in September 2011.

Accompanying the song's new video, Bang Data also re-released the digital single of the song via iTunes on January 20th. Bang Data is an urban powerhouse that rocks English and Spanish lyrics with hip hop, samba, ska, and cumbia beats to sing about women, drugs, party time and social issues. Check out their interview with Al Borde where Deuce Eclipse, Caipo, Paul Crespo and Marco Guzman talk about the power behind Bang Data and where they also present their last work, the7-track EP “Maldito Carnaval”.
