The Gibson Amphitheatre

When it opened back in the early 70’s, the “Gibson Amphitheatre” (previously known as the Universal Amphitheatre), was set to be an outdoor venue very mush so á la Greek Amphitheatre, but a decade later was transformed into an indoor theatre. It is one of the largest theatres in the California area- it seats more than 6,000 people. The “Gibson Amphitheatre” is a well known and respectable venue especially among musicians and music aficionados thanks to its spectacular view and superb sound and acoustics. The “Gibson” hosts a wide variety of performers both national and international, making it a very eclectic musical venue. Upcoming performances include shows by: The Smashing Pumpkins, Lil’ Wayne, Pepe Aguilar, John Legend, Cheech & Chong, Chris Tomlin, Enrique Bunbury, and even Paquita la del Barrio.
