Spaceland

This venue has been around for more than a decade, since March 1995 to be exact. Ever since it opened its doors it became an important live music staple among the alternative music community. “Spaceland” is not as spacious as you might think given the name, but it’s no basement either. “Spaceland” is a mid-sized venue that can hold up to 260 screaming, head bobbing, rump shaking, and sweaty music aficionados. It is known for braking ground for acts such as the Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Kaiser Chiefs, Peaches, Snow Patrol, The Faint, The Gossip, The Presets, The Shins and even The Killers. While it’s quite busy all week, Mondays and Wednesdays are the most popular at “Spaceland”. On Monday nights, “Spaceland” showcases up and coming local bands and on Wednesdays they host Club NME in coalition with Indie 103. They have two full bars, a great sound system, and a futuristic look that would transport you to musical rapture.
